It's in the stats...
Setting a New Standard: 2025 (my intern year) vs 2024

In 2025, the Mussels' social media presence experienced unprecedented growth. The Mussels established a more polished, trend-driven digital identity. Engagement Rate per Impression experienced a slight decline which is a direct reflection of the overall trend on all social media platforms; this is also explained by the absence of a top prospect in 2025. Feedback from fans and stakeholders consistently emphasized that the Mussels' online presence in the 2025 season feel original, elevated, and competitive beyond Single-A standards.
Opportunities for Growth in 2026
Building on the momentum, the following strategies are recommended:
Engagement Strategy
Purpose-driven content encourages interaction. Utilizing polls, Q&A, and comment driven content allows for fans to be seen and heard. Player-driven content humanizes the brand that creates loyalty and connection from the fans to the team.
Video Optimization
Videos continue to dominate social media. Using episodic type videos (weekly BTS vlogs, short-form highlights, etc.) builds anticipation through consistency.
Cross-Platform Differentiation
Each platform should serve a unique purpose and audience.
Facebook: community-driven story telling, event promotion, family focused-content
Instagram: polished photography, eye-catching graphics, reels building identity
X: live updates, controversial moments, breaking news
Tik Tok: trends, humor, personality-driven clips
